Mr. Borh has a MSc. Degree from the Columbia University School of Social Work with concentration in Social Enterprise Administration (SEA/Management Fellow Program) and Field of practice in International Social Welfare. Mr. Borh also have a BSc Degree in Economics from the African Methodist Episcopal Zion University College, a diploma from the Advance International Training Program in Human Rights, Peace and Security sponsored by Sweden International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and implemented by Indevelop in Stockholm and Cambodia with several certificates in leadership, financial management and peace studies.

Mr. Borh worked as a Budget and TAP Program Manager in six countries. Five of the countries in Africa (Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Malawi, Rwanda) and India in Asia at the Earth Institute, Columbia University. He have worked with the Earth Institute since September 2014. He developed and implemented program for the boys in Isingiro District in Uganda (www.eminyeeto.org ) as well as develop program to keep kids in school in Uganda and India. http://blogs.ei.columbia.edu/2015/05/04/49720/. Prior to his work at the Earth Institute Columbia University, he has worked as a social work intern with the New York Department of Education in 2013 providing school social work services at the Bronx Bridges High School.

Before obtaining his graduate degree at Columbia University School of Social Work, Mr. Borh founded and ran a service organization in Liberia, West Africa the Network for Empowerment and Progressive Initiative – NEPI (www.nepiliberia.org). Mr. Borh have helped and continue to help some of the poorest, most excluded and most violent youth in Africa and the world over. He has contributed to the improvement of the lives of youth to become better people and citizens with a focus on finding solution to extreme poverty, youth development, empowerment, and employment opportunities. He has strengthened community capacity for peace consolidation and fostered national reconciliation in Liberia, West Africa.

He have worked extensively with and learn much from implementing partners, groups and institutions over the years. Mr. Borh have developed competencies in non-for-profit management, human resource management, conflict management, financial management, social program development, program management, strategic management, strategic planning, Program Evaluation, advocacy, project supervision, facilitation, dialogue, training, and advanced research methodology. Mr. Borh is a great team member with his extensive experience and varied academic training acquired and skills developed over the years. He have acquired and developed skills, in staff motivation, grant searches, grant and proposal development, program monitoring and evaluation, extensive project and program budgeting, grass root agency development, innovative social services creation, and social enterprises development. He have developed skills in national and international social and economic development, and social policy administration.

Morlee Gugu Zawoo Sr. - Country Director

Morlee Gugu-zawoo, Sr., is a specialist in psychosocial intervention from post conflict context in dealing with vulnerable grouping – ex-combatants, hard core street youth, drugs addict, children and women affected by fighting forces (CAFF & WAFF) thereby, helping them socially reintegrate. Presently, he is a candidate of master at the Kofi Annan Institute of Conflict Transformation, University of Liberia.
Notwithstanding, he has contributed to the peace-building process in Liberia being the Executive Director and one of the founders of the Network for Empowerment & Progressive Initiatives NEPI Inc. Liberia, an organization dedicated to peace-building, conflict management, reconciliation, and national development (www.nepi-liberia.org, nepilib@yahoo.com, gugu.zawoo@gmail.com ). 

His passion for peace-building extends to training, empowerment and transformation for vulnerable individuals and local communities in Liberia, as well as speaking engagements in Africa, Europe and America. He believes in the values and dignity of humanity through Training, Partnership, Networking, Empowerment, Commitment, Accountability, Productivity, Participation, Honesty, Trust, Accomplishment, Integrity, Creativity, Voluntarism and Hard Work.

Moreover, Zawoo had represented Liberia in National and International Peace Conferences in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and the United States. His role as a trauma counselor, lecturer and facilitator has impacted thousands of young people in Liberia, changing their lives and attitudes for a better tomorrow. His passionate emphasis is that anyone could change based on their willingness, decision and determination for Transformation. He's a man of vision and commitment and above all an Agent of Change.
